Are sublimated singlets legal for high school wrestling?
Sublimated singlets are widely worn in high school wrestling. NFHS rules focus on the cut, coverage, matching team uniforms and the size of logos rather than on how a design is applied. Send your state association's current rules with the artwork and the singlet is designed within them before the sample.
What are wrestling singlets made of?
Singlets and compression shirts use poly-spandex jersey, 88% polyester and 12% elastane (the spandex that gives four-way stretch), dye sublimated so the design moves with the fabric. Fight shorts use a polyester-rich fabric suited to sublimation, and hoodies for weigh-ins and road trips come in French terry or brushed fleece.

02Buying guide
What should you check before ordering custom wrestling singlets?
Ask about recovery, not just stretch. Fabric that does not spring back loosens with use, and a loose singlet moves on the mat.
Seams should lie flat against the skin, and leg openings should grip without squeezing. Tell us if your team prefers a particular leg cut.
Have the design sublimated. Layers heat-pressed onto a stretch fabric crack once the fabric is pulled.
Which uniforms does NFHS allow for wrestling?
High school wrestling has two legal options under NFHS rules: the classic singlet, or a compression top worn with fitted shorts as a two-piece uniform. Whichever a school picks, the uniforms come from the school and match across the team, and logo size and placement are capped. College matches follow NCAA rules, and freestyle and Greco-Roman events under United World Wrestling and USA Wrestling usually call for a red and a blue singlet. Name your code at the brief.

How should a roster spanning weight classes be sized?
Weight classes bring a wider spread of body shapes to a single roster than any other sport. Youth and adult sizes come from separate patterns, women's singlets from a women's pattern, and a size set sent along with the sample lets each class try the fit first.

No. Sublimation dyes the fiber itself, so the design stretches with the fabric; only layers pressed onto the surface crack.
