How to measure
- Chest / bust
- Over a thin T-shirt or bare skin, arms relaxed at the sides: pass the tape under both armpits and around the fullest part of the chest and the shoulder blades, level all the way round. Snug, not tight; one finger should slide under. Women: Around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades, wearing the sports bra that will be worn under the uniform, tape level across the back.
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Compression is sized for negative ease: the garment is smaller than the body and stretches to fit. Between sizes, take the smaller size for a firmer hold, the larger for comfort or growing players.
- Chest decides the size of a top; height is a check for length only.
- Wrestling two-piece: every wrestler's top comes from the same design; order a size set with the sample so each weight class can try the fit.

How to measure
- 1/2 chest (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across 2.5 cm below the armholes.
- 1/2 hem (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the bottom hem.
- Body length (HPS)
- From the highest point of the shoulder (beside the collar) straight down to the hem.
- Sleeve length (from shoulder seam)
- From the shoulder seam along the top of the sleeve to the cuff edge.
- Across shoulder
- Straight across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.

About the custom wrestling short-sleeve compression shirts
Custom short-sleeve wrestling compression shirts are the top half of the two-piece uniform. They fit close to the skin and stretch four ways, so the shirt stays in place through scrambles.
NFHS allows a two-piece of a compression shirt and fitted shorts in place of a singlet. It must be school-issued and consistent across the team. Every wrestler's shirt should therefore come from the same design and the same order. Logo size and placement are restricted, so tell us your code before the artwork is finished.
The fabric is poly-spandex jersey, 88% polyester and 12% elastane, printed so the design stretches with it. Pair the shirt with WR-002 fight shorts or WR-008 base-layer shorts in matching artwork. For longer sleeves, see WR-006. Between matches, a WR-015 warm-up jacket goes over the top. Youth, junior, senior and women's sizes come from separate patterns. A size set with the sample lets each weight class try the compression fit before the full order is made.

Questions about the custom wrestling short-sleeve compression shirts
Does every wrestler's shirt have to match?
NFHS expects a school-issued two-piece that is the same for every wrestler. Ordering the whole roster from one design gives you that.
Short-sleeve or long-sleeve base layer?
WR-005 is the short-sleeve shirt for the two-piece. WR-006 is the long-sleeve version of the same compression shirt. Check your code before choosing one for competition.
