How to measure
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, around the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Choose by waist; the lace adjusts a few centimeters either way from day to day.
- Worn over spats or base-layer shorts: no need to size up.

How to measure
- 1/2 waist (fastened)
- Tie the lace closed with the waistband edges meeting; lay flat and measure straight across the top.
- 1/2 hip
- Lay flat; measure straight across 18 cm (youth 13 cm) below the top of the waistband.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem.
- 1/2 leg opening
- Lay flat; straight across the leg hem (side split closed).
- Front rise
- From the crotch seam up the front to the top of the waistband.
- Outseam
- From the top of the waistband straight down the side to the hem.
Finished measurements of our standard pattern for this cut, within ±1.5 cm½ in. Your sample confirms the fit before the order is made, and we can cut to your own size chart instead.
About the custom wrestling board shorts
Custom wrestling board shorts with a lace front, made for practice and open mats. They are the relaxed option for the room, not a competition uniform.
The lace front ties at the waist, so the fit adjusts from day to day. Wrestlers often wear them over WR-007 base-layer spats or WR-008 base-layer shorts for drilling and live goes. Your colors and crest can be printed across the leg, so the practice room looks like one program.
For matches, use WR-001 singlets or a two-piece uniform built to your code. Board shorts are for everything else: daily practice, summer camps, open mats and club nights. Order them in the same design as your warm-ups, or treat them as a looser design for the room. Each age group is cut on its own pattern, from youth to senior. There is no minimum, so a club can order a handful for open-mat regulars. The artwork stays on file for reorders, and a free digital mockup comes before the sample.

Fight shorts or board shorts for the practice room?
The fight short (WR-002) fastens with hook-and-loop and carries color down its side panels; the board short ties with a lace at the front. Choose the closure your wrestlers prefer.
