How to measure
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, around the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Waist and hip decide the size; if they point to different sizes, go by the hip.
- Between sizes, take the smaller size for a firmer hold, the larger for comfort or growing players.
- Spats stretch most at the knee: keep lettering and logos away from it so they read when worn.
- Check your code's rules before wearing spats under a competition uniform.

- 1/2 waist relaxed
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the top of the waistband.
- 1/2 waist stretched
- Stretch the waistband gently to its full width (no seams straining) and measure straight across.
- 1/2 hip (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across 18 cm (youth 13 cm) below the top of the waistband.
- 1/2 knee (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure across the leg at the knee.
- 1/2 leg opening (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the leg hem.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem.
- Front rise
- From the crotch seam up the front to the top of the waistband.

About the custom wrestling base-layer spats
Custom wrestling base-layer spats are compression tights that finish below the knee, made for grappling. They cover the thigh and knee during drilling and live goes, and they stay put on the mat.
Spats are made from poly-spandex jersey (88% polyester, 12% elastane), which stretches four ways. The design is sublimated into it, so a pattern stretches over the knee instead of cracking. Spats stretch hardest at the knee, so the mockup shows where the design lands once they are worn.
Spats pair with WR-003 board shorts for the practice room and open mats, and with WR-002 fight shorts. Before wearing them under a competition uniform, check the rules of the code you wrestle under. Every age group, and women's teams, get a pattern of their own. Order them in the same artwork as your singlets and warm-ups, and the practice room matches the program. One pair on its own is fine to order.

Yes. That is the pairing they are made for in the practice room. Order both from the same artwork for a matched look.
Will the design distort when the spats stretch?
The print stretches with the fabric and will not crack. Put lettering and logos away from the knee and they read cleanly when worn; the mockup shows the placement.
