Regular fit: 14 cm hip ease, elastic waist with drawcord, longer leg (about 9 in adult) to cover to just above the knee in drilling.

How to measure
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, around the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Waist and hip decide; if they disagree, go by the hip and use the drawcord.
- Long enough to wear over spats without the spat showing at the hem when standing.

How to measure
- 1/2 waist relaxed
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the top of the waistband.
- 1/2 waist stretched
- Stretch the waistband gently to its full width (no seams straining) and measure straight across.
- 1/2 hip
- Lay flat; measure straight across 18 cm (youth 13 cm) below the top of the waistband.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem.
- 1/2 leg opening
- Lay flat; straight across the leg hem (side split closed).
- Front rise
- From the crotch seam up the front to the top of the waistband.
- Outseam
- From the top of the waistband straight down the side to the hem.
Finished measurements of our standard pattern for this cut, within ±1.5 cm½ in. Your sample confirms the fit before the order is made, and we can cut to your own size chart instead.
