Body measurements
Women's pattern with a narrower shoulder and room at the hip, 14 cm bust ease so the full placket lies flat without pulling at the buttons, and a body long enough to stay tucked into a low-rise pant. Youth (girls') sizes use a straight, unshaped body, so their 1/2 waist equals the narrower of 1/2 chest and 1/2 hem.

How to measure
- Chest / bust
- Youth: Over a thin T-shirt or bare skin, arms relaxed at the sides: pass the tape under both armpits and around the fullest part of the chest and the shoulder blades, level all the way round. Snug, not tight; one finger should slide under. Women's (bust): Around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades, wearing the sports bra that will be worn under the uniform, tape level across the back.
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Size by bust, measured over the sports bra worn on game day; if waist or hip says a size up, take the larger size.
- The placket needs a little more ease than a pullover, so do not size down to get a closer fit.
- Youth (girls) sizes are a separate youth pattern; youth 1/2 waist is not shaped and is omitted.

How to measure
- 1/2 chest
- Lay the garment flat, front up, and measure straight across from side seam to side seam 2.5 cm below the armholes (pit to pit).
- 1/2 waist
- Lay flat and measure straight across at the narrowest point of the side shaping, about 40 cm below the high shoulder point on adult sizes.
- 1/2 hem
- Lay flat and measure straight across the bottom edge, side seam to side seam.
- Body length (HPS, back)
- From the high point of the shoulder (where the shoulder seam or raglan seam meets the collar) straight down the back to the hem.
- Across shoulder
- Lay flat, back up, and measure straight across from shoulder seam point to shoulder seam point.
- Sleeve length (center back)
- Center-back sleeve: from the center of the back neck seam, across the shoulder point (or along the raglan seam) and down the sleeve to the hem. Works for set-in and raglan sleeves alike.

About the custom softball button-front game jerseys
Custom softball button-front jerseys start from a women's pattern, not a men's jersey sized down. The shoulder and hip are drafted for women from the first line, so the full placket hangs straight instead of pulling at the buttons.
A full-button front is the traditional, formal look for a softball program. It reads well with a stitched chest script that breaks cleanly at the placket, over a sublimated body that carries your colors into the sleeves and sides. Programs that want a pullover can choose the two-button jersey (SB-002) or the crew-neck jersey (SB-004) from the same artwork.
Every adult size is graded on that women's pattern, and youth sizes are drafted separately again. If your roster mixes freshmen with seniors, or a 10U team with an 18U, order a size set with the sample and settle the breakdown before anything is cut. The jersey pairs with the full-length pants (SB-007), the standard game pants (SB-009) or the standard knickers (SB-008), and the team socks are made to match. Names and numbers are included, and the roster is checked against your association's numbering rules before anything is cut.
