Body measurements
Women's athletic cut with 12 cm bust ease, shaped side seams or side panels that follow the body to the hip, and a tuck-in length. Sleeves are measured center back so raglan (two-button) and set-in styles read the same. Youth (girls') sizes use a straight, unshaped body, so their 1/2 waist equals the narrower of 1/2 chest and 1/2 hem.

How to measure
- Chest / bust
- Youth: Over a thin T-shirt or bare skin, arms relaxed at the sides: pass the tape under both armpits and around the fullest part of the chest and the shoulder blades, level all the way round. Snug, not tight; one finger should slide under. Women's (bust): Around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades, wearing the sports bra that will be worn under the uniform, tape level across the back.
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Size by bust over the game-day sports bra; the neckline and placket style do not change the size.
- Pitchers who want more room through the shoulder for the windmill can go up one size.
- Hem is shaped to the hip so it stays tucked into a low-rise pant or knicker.

How to measure
- 1/2 chest
- Lay the garment flat, front up, and measure straight across from side seam to side seam 2.5 cm below the armholes (pit to pit).
- 1/2 waist
- Lay flat and measure straight across at the narrowest point of the side shaping, about 40 cm below the high shoulder point on adult sizes.
- 1/2 hem
- Lay flat and measure straight across the bottom edge, side seam to side seam.
- Body length (HPS, back)
- From the high point of the shoulder (where the shoulder seam or raglan seam meets the collar) straight down the back to the hem.
- Sleeve length (center back)
- Center-back sleeve: from the center of the back neck seam, across the shoulder point (or along the raglan seam) and down the sleeve to the hem. Works for set-in and raglan sleeves alike.

About the custom softball two-button placket jerseys
Custom softball two-button jerseys pair a short placket with raglan sleeves, all cut on a women's pattern. The raglan seam runs from the underarm to the neck, so no shoulder seam sits on top of the arm.
On a women's frame, that seam placement follows a narrower shoulder instead of fighting it. It leaves the top of the shoulder smooth through an overhand throw or a windmill delivery from the circle.
Raglans also make color easy. A contrast sleeve in your second color frames the body, while the short placket leaves the lower front free for a script or a front number. Add names and numbers on the back, printed or in stitched tackle twill. Pants and knickers (SB-008) are sized separately from the jersey, so list each player's sizes for both on the roster. The style suits travel organizations that dress several age groups alike, since a raglan sleeve looks the same on a 10U player as on an 18U. Youth sizes are drafted on their own pattern. For a full placket, the button-front jersey (SB-001) shares the women's body, and the SB-003 V-neck game jersey adds shaped side panels.

Why raglan sleeves on a softball jersey?
The seam runs diagonally to the neck, so the top of the shoulder is smooth and the sleeve moves with the arm. It also gives a natural line for a contrast sleeve color.
Does the two-button jersey go on over the head?
Yes. It is a pullover, and the two buttons open the neck so it slips on quickly between games.
