Body measurements
Women's below-the-knee knicker: low rise, 14 cm hip ease and its own length so the knee sits where the leg bends and the cuff lands just below it, showing the sock. Belt loops and an elastic-backed waistband.

How to measure
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, around the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Size by hip, then check height: the cuff should land just below the knee in a crouch as well as standing.
- Inseam is the knicker's own below-the-knee length; it is not a cut-down full pant.
- In the racer-back uniform, the top and knicker are sized separately.

How to measure
- 1/2 waist (relaxed)
- Waistband laid flat and unstretched, measured straight across the top edge.
- 1/2 waist (stretched)
- Waistband gently stretched to its comfortable limit (not to the stitch-breaking point), measured straight across.
- 1/2 hip
- Lay flat and measure straight across at the widest point of the seat, about 18 cm (adult) or 13 cm (youth) below the waistband top.
- 1/2 thigh
- Lay one leg flat and measure straight across 2.5 cm below the crotch seam, perpendicular to the leg.
- Front rise
- From the crotch seam junction up the front center seam to the top of the waistband.
- Inseam
- Along the inside leg seam from the crotch seam junction to the hem.
- 1/2 leg opening (cuff, relaxed)
- Hem of one leg laid flat, measured straight across edge to edge (elastic cuffs measured relaxed).

About the custom softball standard knickers
Custom softball knickers are the pant many fastpitch players reach for: below the knee, with the sock on show. Ours start from a women's pattern, so the rise and hip are right before the length is even considered.
The length is then drafted on its own instead of trimmed from a long pant. That keeps the knee in place when a catcher squats or a runner breaks for second, and it keeps the hem sitting just under the knee where it belongs.
Knickers and full-length pants can be mixed on one team, marked against each player's name. Size the knickers separately from the jerseys, and youth knickers come from their own pattern. Pair them with team socks striped in your colors, under any jersey in the softball range, or as part of the racer-back uniform (SB-006) for summer. Choose a solid knicker in a team color or one that picks up the jersey trim, and we confirm the colors on the sample.
