Size chart
Custom Hockey Away Uniform Sets size chart
Choose a size from the body measurements. The garment measurements are the finished piece laid flat, so you can compare it with a top or short that already fits.
Set: sweater by chest/pads, socks by shin-guard size; list both on the roster.
Body measurements
Ice hockey game sweater (player and goalie cut)
Over-pads cut: 22 cm of chest ease over the bare chest for players (shoulder and elbow pads take up the rest) and 44 cm for the goalie cut, straight hem, long roomy sleeve to the glove cuff. Laced or V collar does not change the fit.
| Size | Chest / bust (bare) cmin | Height cmin |
|---|---|---|
| S | 90–9635½–38 | 165–17365–68 |

| Senior goalie XL | 112–12844–50½ | 180–19271–75½ |
How to measure
- Chest / bust (bare)
- Measure the bare chest (no pads): Over a thin T-shirt or bare skin, arms relaxed at the sides: pass the tape under both armpits and around the fullest part of the chest and the shoulder blades, level all the way round. Snug, not tight; one finger should slide under. Women: Around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades, wearing the sports bra that will be worn under the uniform, tape level across the back.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Hockey sweaters are cut over shoulder pads and elbow pads: choose by bare chest here, then check against the shoulder-pad size; a player in bulky senior pads near the top of a band takes the next size.
- Goalies use the goalie cut (wider body, fuller sleeve over the chest protector and arm pads), not a player sweater two sizes up.
- Youth YL/YXL are the sizes many hockey brands call junior; a big youth player can overlap senior S, so compare chests.
- If your league requires a fight strap, it is built into the pattern and does not change the size.
Ice hockey game sock
Footless knit tube sized by shin-guard length: long enough to cover the shin guard and reach the garter or jock tabs above the knee, with stretch to go over the pad.
| Size | Shin guard length cmin | Floor to mid-thigh cmin | Height cmin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Youth | 18–247–9½ | 46–5618–22 | 97–13038–51 |
| Junior | 24–329½–12½ | 56–6422–25 | 130–16051–63 |
| Intermediate | 32–3712½–14½ | 64–7125–28 | 160–17563–69 |
| Senior | 37–4314½–17 | 71–7628–30 | 175–18869–74 |
| Senior XL | 43–4817–19 | 76–8130–32 | 188–20074–78½ |
How to measure
- Shin guard length
- The size printed on the player's shin guard (in inches x 2.54), or measure the guard from the top of the knee cap to the bottom of the shin cap.
- Floor to mid-thigh
- Barefoot, from the floor straight up the outside of the leg to halfway up the thigh.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Size socks by the shin guard, not by the sweater: list sock sizes separately on the roster.
- Too long leaves loose fabric that bunches; too short will not reach the garter tabs.
