Compression fit like a base-layer short (6 cm negative hip ease) but cut longer, to lie flat to above the knee under the baseball pant so nothing bunches on a slide.

How to measure
- Waist
- Around the natural waist, the narrowest part of the torso a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, around the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back against a wall, heels touching it, looking straight ahead: mark the top of the head with a flat object and measure floor to mark.
- Waist and hip decide the size; if they point to different sizes, go by the hip.
- Between sizes, take the smaller size for a firmer hold, the larger for comfort or growing players.
- Sized on its own, not by the game-pant size: list a sliding-short size beside each name on the roster.

How to measure
- 1/2 waist relaxed
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the top of the waistband.
- 1/2 waist stretched
- Stretch the waistband gently to its full width (no seams straining) and measure straight across.
- 1/2 hip (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across 18 cm (youth 13 cm) below the top of the waistband.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam straight down the inside leg to the hem.
- 1/2 leg opening (unstretched)
- Lay flat, unstretched; measure straight across the leg hem.
- Front rise
- From the crotch seam up the front to the top of the waistband.

About the custom baseball sliding shorts
Custom baseball sliding shorts are close-fitting shorts worn under the game pant. They sit flat against the leg, so nothing bunches under the pant when a player slides into a base.
We cut them from poly-spandex jersey, 88% polyester and 12% elastane, which stretches four ways and recovers its shape. Because the fabric is polyester-rich, the shorts can be sublimated in full team colors, with your logo on the leg if you want one.
Sliding shorts tend to be forgotten until the first slide of the season. Order them with the full-length pants (BS-005) and they arrive in the same color story, bagged with each player's uniform when you send a roster. Add a sliding-short size beside each name, since it does not have to match the pant size. Youth shorts are cut on a youth pattern. Because they are sublimated, the color will not crack or peel however often the shorts are washed. Order them alongside the uniform sets (BS-007) so every player receives a pair.

Questions about the custom baseball sliding shorts
Should sliding shorts match the pant color?
They do not have to, since they sit under the pant. Many teams match them anyway, and sublimation carries no per-color charge. Under white pants, a light color is the safer choice.
Are they sized like the game pant?
They are sized on their own. Put a sliding-short size next to each player's name, and each pair is made from that.
