Set: jersey (by chest over pads, lineman or skill cut) and pant (by waist) are sized separately.

Pro-cut football game jersey (over shoulder pads)
Close pro cut with stretch side panels, patterned to sit tight over shoulder pads. Ease on bare chest: skill cut +32 cm, lineman cut +42 cm (shared over-pads band +30 to +45); body length tucks into the game pant.

How to measure
- Chest (bust for women's)
- Over a thin T-shirt or bare skin (women: over the sports bra worn to play), arms relaxed: tape under both armpits round the fullest part of the chest and shoulder blades, level. Snug, one finger under the tape.
- Chest over shoulder pads
- With the player's own shoulder pads on and strapped: tape round the pads at armpit level, level all the way round. No pads yet: add about 10-15 cm (4-6 in) to the bare chest, the top of that for linemen.
- Shoulder width (pad size)
- Pad sizing measurement: across the back from the tip of one shoulder (AC joint) to the other. This is what the shoulder-pad maker sizes by; the jersey follows the pad.
- Height
- Barefoot, back to a wall, heels touching it: floor to the top of the head.
- Weight
- Bare-foot on a scale in light kit. A secondary guide only; football programs and youth pads often size by weight, but chest over pads decides the jersey.
- Size by the shoulder pads the player will wear: match chest over pads first, bare chest second.
- Mark each player lineman or skill on the roster. Linemen (bigger pads, wider caps) take the lineman cut in the same size label.
- Between sizes, go up: a jersey that is too tight rides up and exposes the pads.
- Youth jerseys are a youth pattern for youth pads, not a scaled adult size; check youth players by chest over pads and weight.
Integrated football game pant (built-in pad pockets)
Stretch game pant with integrated pockets for hip, thigh, knee and tailbone pads and a built-in web belt; knee-length, hem covering the knee pad. Ease: waist relaxed +3 / stretched +13 cm over body waist (belt cinches), hip +8 cm to hold the pads in place.

How to measure
- Waist
- Round the natural waist, a little above the belly button, after a normal breath out. Do not pull in.
- Hip
- Heels together, round the widest part of the hips and seat, tape level.
- Height
- Barefoot, back to a wall, heels touching it: floor to the top of the head.
- Size by waist first, then check the hip: the pant is cut close so the pads stay where they protect.
- Do not size up for comfort; a loose pant lets the thigh and knee pads slide.
- The hem should cover the knee pad with the player in a stance; the inseam is set for that.
- The pant is sized separately from the jersey; list both sizes on the roster.

- 1/2 chest
- Lay flat, buttoned or zipped if it has a placket; measure straight across 2.5 cm below the armholes, edge to edge.
- 1/2 chest, lineman cut
- Same as 1/2 chest, on the lineman cut (more room through the chest and shoulder for bigger pads).
- Body length (HPS)
- From the highest point of the shoulder next to the collar (HPS) straight down to the hem.
- Sleeve length (from shoulder seam)
- From the shoulder seam along the top of the sleeve to the sleeve hem.

How to measure
- 1/2 waist relaxed
- Lay flat, waistband unstretched: straight across the top edge.
- 1/2 waist stretched
- Same line, waistband gently stretched to its full width (not over-stretched).
- 1/2 hip
- Lay flat: straight across the seat at the bottom of the fly or crotch-curve start, about 18-20 cm below the waistband top.
- 1/2 thigh
- Lay flat: straight across the leg 2.5 cm below the crotch seam.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam down the inner leg seam to the hem.
- Outseam (side seam)
- From the top of the waistband down the side seam to the hem.
- 1/2 leg opening
- Lay flat: straight across the leg hem, edge to edge.
